CHIRON, Medium of Madness, is a poetic descent into and through depression and madness performed by the author, Matthew Hayos (aka Erik) over the course of several years. After a lifetime of unsuccessful treatment at the hands of conventional socialized psychotherapy and medicine Hayos decided to employ the wisdom from humanity’s eldest known and original psychic warriors. Using the ancient psychoanalytical frameworks derived by age-old practitioners of Ceremonial Magick, Hermeticism, Alchemy, and other intuitively applied shamanics and mysticisms, Hayos performed many independent and successful descents into the depths of his own psychology. This volume of poetry and prose contains the artistic essence of the author’s descension, ascension, and transcension. With a variety of ritualist and ceremonial devices Hayos purposefully provoked profound madness, self- discovery, psychic healing and eventually a more affirmed connection with Self and Source.
