RopeSpace can be a very magical and healing space and our general philosophy is to create a container of compassion, safety and trust in which we are able to explore and resolve the very personal emotional and psychological triggers that are inherently activated by this art. I often refer to my rope rituals as a Somatic Art Experience because it is not uncommon to reach very cathartic, transformative and psychedelic-like states which can be very potent for moving historic, epigentic/genealogical and current traumas and distress through the mind and body.

CONSENT & NEGOTIATION…
It is important to negotiate all aspects of a BDSM/Rope Scene prior to the scene (e.g. where and how we will be touching someone, what ties may be performed, and even what BDSM implements and tools will be used [or not used] during a scene). Fully Embodied Consent is a way to practice consent & negotiation that fully respects our nervous systems and ensures mutual win-win in all our interactions, setting the stage for how we engage and help foster a safe and successful container. We use a collective knowledge gained though the extensive studying of the Wheel of Consent, Somatic Consent and Trauma Awareness for Practitioners and Space Holders.
